I had set the date/time, loaded on our best photos, and packaged up my dad's Father's Day photo/alarm clock. It was addressed and stamped, waiting to be taken to the mailbox. The next morning, I heard beeping coming from the package. I figured that wouldn't go over well with the Postal Service, so I had to open the package and turn it off, and re-tape it. I hope it stays quiet during the trip!

@boogie - I hear ya! At 2:30, when the boy comes home from school, I better be wrapping up anything that requires concentration. Since Renee and I are at home, our house is the halfway house for teen boys in need of guidance and their XBox fix.

Distractions abound. I don't have a door to my office.

@Chelle: freel free to use the idea. I was inspired by Kimchi Mamas.

Wow! Open thread Thursday is a neat idea! I have never thought of that before! I don't really have anything to rant and rave about though...just wanted to tell you that's pretty neat...might have to use that sometime!

"praise for republicans" You made me spit my coffee out :) Thanks.

I freelance also and mix it into being a full time stay at home mom. One thing I don't like about freelancing is last minute demands from my clients. I schedule my time to work and when they decide they need something "right this minute!" It seriously puts a kink in the mix of caring for my children and working...

I have a project due TOMORROW and the client has yet to give me some key info to get this done. I already promised my kids a trip to the water park today. Looks like a long night head of me tonight.

I've been on my computer all day working with a new client, dealing with a difficult client, and looking for new clients. I'm mentally and physically exhausted.

Keen insights, funny stories, informative articles, and great photographs will have to wait.

A full-time job is hard to come by. A full-time job that pays all the bills is even harder to find. As a result, I'm busy doing freelance work now. More accurately, I'm busy marketing myself as a freelancer. I can still maintain my posting schedule (or lack thereof) through this.

Most of my posts are carefully crafted in a 1-2 hour timeframe. I'd like to keep it that way because that's how quality is achieved. Even a weekend "round up and link love" type of post requires that kind of time.

Hell, I even spent 30 minutes doing this quickie post!
