Odds and Ends for Wednesday

It’s Hump Day, so it’s time for a quickie. I know, I know. I’m breaking one of the “rules” of blogging. I’m not supposed to post “speedlink” type posts on weekdays. I didn’t want to go 2 days in a row during the week without something. I’ve got some longer articles in the works right now, including a great series on being eco-conscious. I might post that one over at Renee’s site, 21st Century Parenting.

As you can tell, I’m writing about whatever I feel like at the time. I haven’t figured out a regular schedule of posts yet, but it looks like Friday is my day to pimp the ‘zon. Mondays are shaping up to be about culture, race, and diversity. Maybe the schedule will fill in as we go along. Let me know in the comments section if you prefer a schedule or a more freeform flow of ideas, thoughts, feelings, rants, etc.

  • Today is Austin’s birthday. He’s 14. He’s earned a little shopping spree at Hot Topic and a sushi dinner. I went to the grocery store and got him some Hot Pockets. I’m glad we cleared up the misunderstanding.
  • This past Saturday, we went to see “The Business of Being Born.” I’m already a believer in natural childbirth, but this film sealed the deal. I’m currently drafting a full review of the film and will be posting it soon.
  • Tanya over at the Motherwear Breastfeeding Blog bring us this inspiring story. There’s other great stuff over there, even for Dads.
  • Renee and I are addicted to Squidoo. It brings visitors to our blogs and it’s a lot of fun.
  • Renee at 21st Century Parenting started chronicling our adventures in Infant Potty Training. Our little Twilli isn’t even 6 months old, and she’s already using the potty! She even started a Squidoo Lens on it (Renee did it, not Twilli)
